An absolutely gorgeous weekend!  I could not have thought of a better place to be!  The weather was perfect.
I didn't see all of the bands, but the turnout was great!  There must have been a contest for the best 80's costume because there were definitely a lot of freaky people in the crowd!  My favorite was a couple dressed as Prince and Boy George.
The line-up was:
Naked Eyes
Tommy Tu-Tone
Flock Of Seagulls
Cutting Crew
The Romantics
Survivor

Each band played about 40 minutes each.  I saw  Cutting Crew and The Romantics.  I will try and remember the set list and post some photos tomorrow! Smiley  I took more photos of the crowd than I did of the band!  I was off to the side and couldn't get a good angle!  So, I decided to rock out instead!  Oh well.  You can't have everything!

I never knew that about the JCM song!

And now after you check out the next link, I no longer have to post the pictures of the 80's getups from last weekend! Smiley

Oh, yeah...Mellencamp totally ripped off the Romantics on that song.  I've been singing the "What I Like" lyrics to R.O.C.K. since the second time I heard it in about 1984.

Next time you hear the U2 song "Desire",think about "I Can't Tell You Anything" from National Breakout.

My cover band does a medley of What I Like About You, right into R.O.C.K. in The USA. Nothing much changes but the lyrics. It's pretty kool and people always dig it.
