Being a HUGE PR&R's fan,I actually did know that! Mark sold his home here in NY and moved back to the Northwest where he grew up.He also has his own radio show called "Mark After Dark" on KHITS 106.7 every Saturday night.

Off Romantics Topic and my fault, but Kevin, what exactly happen with Fang.

He left the band in 67, but on his web page you don't see any photos of the singer/Paul. Same goes on the New Raiders site, No Fang. There had to be some rift there, and God knows musicians always get along.

You can start another thread if you like, however The Romantics could kill "Kicks", with a rocked up version of that tune.

 www.philfangvolk.com

i also read that in 1997 ,Mark Lindsay, guitarist Drake Levin, bassist Phil "Fang" Volk, and drummer Mike "Smitty" Smith - reunited in full costume for a one-off 30th anniversary performance in Portland.
paul revere was not present
mike smith died four years later.

my personal favorite was "just like me"

I really don't think there is a rift at all.Fang left The Raiders along with Drake Levin and Smitty to form their own band "The Brotherhood" because they were tired of the teenybopper image, and wanted to make "serious" music. The band failed miseribly, and Smitty ended up re-joining The Raiders in the early 70's.The Paul Revere And The Raiders website is pretty much just used to promote the current touring band, which now features Darrin Medley, son of the late Bill Medley from The Righteous Brothers on lead vocals.

Just Like Me rocked! What a great band with more hits than you probably remember. Some of my favorites by them were Him Or Me, Good Thing,  and their version of I'm Not Your Stepping Stone from the midnight ride album. Their version of Stepping Stone blows the Monkees version out of the water. Outstanding lead vocal my Mark. I also thought their later hit "Too Much Talk (not enough action) really rocked, especially the mono single version.
