who has leftover candy?

i put two huge buckets of candy out on my porch with a note saying to help themselves to a couple of pieces and for the first hour or so, it was working out fine.  then someone came along and helped themself to almost an entire bucket of candy!!
i guess the honor system doesn't work for everyone.....which is sad.

We had some kids who came back for seconds as well. It was steady from around 6 to 7 and then it slowed down for about half an hour. Around 7:30 we had this big rush of kids that came out of nowhere and that lasted until around eight. We still have lots of chocolate left over. By 8:30 a few neighbors came over and we had some pizza, chicken wings, nachos and home made Guacomole. Washed it down with some pumpkin ale which was surprisingly good while we watched Halloween and House Of Dark Shadows, one of my all time favorite vampire movies. I was hooked on that soap opera in the 60s.

there is no honor system when it comes to candy Roll Eyes

i had left over candy it may have been because i shut down a lil early.

i would say thats about normal every year to be busy between 6 and 7..then after a half n hour the mad rush comes.

Kevin, I got it right away--Charlie Brown got a rock instead of candy when he trick-or-treated.

But Kevin--did you see the Great Pumpkin?

LOL~
A couple of years ago, my friend did the Great Pumpkin theme for halloween!  Did you have a sheet with lots of hole in it, too?

Smiley

My  hubby & I were a part of my friend's Robin Hood "Halloween Scene" in front of their house.

They had about 3000-4000 (Yes, THOUSANDS, not hundreds) adults & kids go through their neighborhood.

We had a lot of left over candy at the end and then started doling out handfuls of candy... Smiley

My hubby was Robin Hood and I was Maid Marion... Smiley
