Heard a very, very brief piece of "What I Like About You" in an advertisement for VH 1's movie, "Totally Awesome", which premiers on November 4th.

Don't know if it is included in the soundtrack, but might be a goof to watch! Smiley

At my conference this week, we had a "beach party" theme for the after-banquet party....
Of course, I made my usual request for "What I Like About You".... never mind that only 2 people were on the dance floor during that song-- I HAD to dance!!

one of my co-workers--it was a work conference at the Grand  Traverse Resort....

Such a bummer it would have been much more fun to dance with my hubby!
(They had an old Frankie Valley & Annette Funicello movie with Don Rickles playing--it was funny to see it projected on the screen--they had 1 scene with these people dancing with 2-person sweaters (i.e. a guy & a girl wearing some kind of giant funky sweater).... Hysterical....

I was at the Patriots-Packers game yesterday at Lambeau Field...they played "What I Like About You" during a break in the action.  I coulda sworn that it was in the key of D............. Undecided

Brew, your ears need to be checked and tuned!  According to what I have been told, because I don't know a thing about music and never will proclaim to, "What I Like About You" is in the Key of E.  But we might want to defer to Oldfriend for sure!!!!!!!!!  By they way Brew, is your guitar tuned to low?  Is that what you are going by?

My guitar actually is tuned low....something I picked up from the grunge boys.  I am a novice musician at best, so I am not in any way disputing the answer to the contest.  I just gave it my best shot.

My first guess was going to be "What I Like About You",but I really wasn't too sure because it has been so long since I played harmonica with a band.It took me a while to clear out the "musical cobwebs" in my memory, but it goes something like this.
If the song is in the key of E,you use a key of A harmonica.
If the song is in the key of A,you use a key of D harmonica, and so on,and so on.....
I figured it out looking at a set list and playing the songs on my guitar. When I saw that Devil In Me was in the key of A,I took a shot !! Simple,eh?

You make it sound so easy!  I will be trying my best to learn now!  I'm sure it won't be that simple to play! Wink

Yep "What I Like About You " is in the Key of E.....when you play harp the harp you choose is four notes up on the scale...for instance "devil in me " is the key of A so you play the harp against the A note with a Key of D harp. "what I Like About You" is in E so you play an A harp. Guy's like Bob Dylan when he played in the key of A some time he played an A harp. You can do just about anything as long as you know your music theory.
Hope this helps !!!
