138th Running of the Belmont June 10
Jun 9th, 2006 at 8:59pm

with the disaster that happened in the Preakness to Barbaro, I was torn on whether or not to even bring up the third and final leg of the triple crown races.  i think a lot of folks will be forever turned away from horseracing which i understandable but i do know first hand that the horses that run in these particular races are treated like royalty and everything is done to insure they are healthy and not treated just as moneymakers.  some owners/trainers have a genuine love of the animal and the sport.  so with that said, here are tomorrows entries:
anyone in ?

1 Platinum Couple  30-1
2 Sunriver  4-1
3 Hemingway's Key 15-1
4 Bob and John 5-1
5 High Finance 12-1
6 Oh So Awesome 20-1
7 Deputy Glitters 15-1
8 Jazil 10-1
9 Bluegrass Cat 3-1
10 Double Galore 30-1
11 Steppenwolfer 9-2
12 Sacred Light 15-1

Place-High Finance 12-1
Show-Sacred Light 15-1

Funny you should mention "third and final leg" and Barbaro in the same sentence.

I dunno about horse racing, but many auto race fans watch just for the crashes.....

I don't think there has been as many incidents on the "horse-track" as there are on the auto "race-track".  So, I can pretty much say that I don't believe the two viewers are watching for the same reasons!  Plus, I think there are much more teeth involved in one of those also! Wink

i have to root for deputy glitters.
the jockey is the same one who rode barbaro and probably saved his life.
