Sure wish I could have gone...Hopefully, when the weather warms up, we'll be able to cruise down to Chicago for a quick get-away! Wink

Yes, that is what makes us Midwesterners tough.
Wind Chill Factors and Heat Indexes.
Sadly, I will miss this show due to family matters.

ok kids, some pretty kewl handcuffs stuff.

today while i was watching a preseason game between the chicago white sox and the chicago cubs, they played quite a long piece of the handcuffs, "all shine on", when going to commercial break!!  and the announcer even said "chicago's
own handcuffs"!

also, if you are in the chicago area or feel like taking a road trip, don't forget about tuesday's (march 6) show with the charms at
the note
(1565 n. milwaukee , chicago illinois, across from the double door)

www.thenotechicago.com

the handcuffs showtime: 10 p.m.
$8 in advance; $10 at the door. 21 and over
(sounds like there is a song title in there?!) Wink

I'm really bummed,
I missed the Charms show in Detroit-- had too much going on on Saturday . Sad

Hopefully, they will be back here soon and maybe the Handcuffs will venture out of their Wndy City....
Wish it was summer already so that I can road trip!!!  It's too bad this wasn't last week, when I was driving through Chicago!

Things took another turn.
Sadly, I'll miss this one as well.
Maybe the late March show, but IPO for sure!

On a side note, thanks to Chloe and Brad for the support.
I love you "guys".

Well well well kiddies...
It just doesn't get much better than Saturday's IPO
(International Pop Overthrow) lineup...

First up in my opinion one of Milwaukee's Finest
The Lackloves
with a set featuring a few Blow Pops (Jarvis' former band) tunes,
a spot on cover of "Elenore" and closing with an amazing
version of "Across The Universe"
Followed by (one of) Dag Juhlin's band
The Greenwoods
A very early Who/Townsend feel it it.
Some amazing guitar work from him as well.

THEN... The Handcuffs
Brad, Chloe and the kids ON their game!
Chloe working the bullhorn well during a few songs.
Featured alot of "Model For A Revolution" CD.
Great set puntuated by a great cover of "Hanging On The Telephone"

Next up was Pezband
(mentioned perhaps some dates this year with Dwight Twilley)
Did a set that reached back into some bluesier roots as well.
Closing the show was off Broadway.
One of my all time favorite bands.
Actually did 3 encores of 2 songs each.

I'm still grinning 24 hours later.
Great to see Brad and Chloe.
2 of my favorite people on the planet.
I miss those kids.
Perhaps I'll post a few pictures of it all.
Needed my "fix" with all that has been going on recently.
