pirate, that would be so exciting!
but first i have to get these tigers back on track and back to their winning ways.
the white sox roughed them up a bit too much. Shocked

at least they gave nate some runs last night to work with.
i heard a statistic last night by one of the announcers and that is he is third of all major league starters with the lowest run production behind him.
like i said, poor guy should have a few more wins but the offense let him down. Sad

theres a number of pitchers out there on a good team that doesnt get the run production as there team mates do....but im sure by the season gets older they will knock in a few more runs for him.....i still think its safe to say the tigers are in....my dodgers must win the division to get in....in keeping my fingers crossed.

they are a awesome one two punch...the best in the majors...they have been a great pair the past few years....i think the yankees will get in a groove and those two guys wont see the playoff in year.......the tigers are capable of taking the yankees though.

Yes Pirate,
How 'bout them Dodgers!  We fans whose blood runs blue may see their team finally go all the way.  It's been a long time.

Dennis!  Welcome back!  I guess all it took was a little talk of a Dodger pennant run to bring you back.  I don't remember seeing any posts from you all year--where you been?

Dang!  The Dodgers lost 1 to 0 to San Diego.  The National League West is so fluid it is vexing (how's that for a word).  I'm afraid this division will go down to the wire.  Go Dodgers!!!!!

Thanks.  Nice to be back.  I have a bit of catching up to do.

i hear you dennis.....it seems to have been this way for a number of years in that division but usally the dodgers slide back further around this time of year. hopefully this year they will stay in the race......sweeped by san diego...that wasnt good. they seem to be ropin arizona tonight....perhaps another 14 game winning streak on the horizon.

hope the rain out last night didn't hurt the tigers by giving them the extra day off.  the lead has been shaved to only 5 games up now and we still have the stretch run.  hope they can hang on.

oh and get well wishes for david ortiz.  hope it turns out to be nothing serious or career ending.

same get well wishes for Mariners Rafael Soriano hospitalized with a concussion.

and kudos to Florida manager Joe Girardi who missed Tuesday night's game against the St. Louis Cardinals , choosing to remain at home with his pregnant wife and brace for a possible hurricane.  proving once again that there are a few good guys left who put family first.

Well, one year, The Marlins beat the best money could buy!  Then we disbanded!!!!!!!!  I guess we couldn't afford the best money could buy!  George can!!!!!!!!!!  I am curious to see what the new Yankee Stadium will look like.  Anything will be an improvement!  Those stands were steep!!!!!!!!!!!!!
