allstar performance by the romantics

Grin If  you missed it, you missed out. the performance was excellant.  what really was pleasently surprizing  was the show site. a 100 times better than places like the emerald or the taste-fest shows. you couldn't be closer unless you were on stage. easy in easy out parking with plenty of very close spots. immediatly after the last song the band came off stage to meet and talk to everyone besides signing autographs and pictures. even though it was a shortset it was well worth going.

you are so correct!  it was well worth the trip and the blazing heat!
they sounded absolutely fabulous!
does anyone have the set list?
it was almost like they were playing a private show for the friends and family that were in the pepsi porch area!
you couldn't have asked for a more intimate setting!
once again they succeeded in leaving the crowd wanting more!
can't wait to see them again!
road trip anyone?

Sounds like a great show!  I have seen the Romantics in several "intimate" settings (including the parking lot of an Irvine shopping mall) and it's always cool to see them up close and personal.

buyadodge-- Were you there?
You must have seen the Romantic Message Board people!

(I was in a hot pink shirt with a "Think Pink" thought bubble and of course, my camera.)

My hubby joked that we really needed to be hovering in the air about 3 feet in front of the band to get a good look--but I did get a few pictures on the side...

Wish we had gotten there 10 minutes earlier or the band would have let me take photos from the front side... Smiley

Anyways, the band looked and sounded great!  Looks like some of the guys have been working out, and getting lots of rest... Really liked Rich's haircut (he looks more like part of the band again!)

It was hotter than anything--a group of us sat under the only umbrella shaded table... Smiley

Sure wish I could go to their concerts in Canada and Mexico!

i not only have the song list, my son had the band autograph it. 61/49 was the ffirst song followed by DEVIL IN ME- WHEN I LOOK IN YOUR EYES-TOMBOY-SHE'S GOT EVERYTHING-WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU, then Mitch sang LITTLE LATIN LUPE LU- DEVIL WITH THE BLUE DRESS.  I WISH  i could have met and talked with more people, but i don't feel comftorble and don't want to over stay my welcome, besides there was sommething more important, i had the pleasure and honor of escorting Wally's mom to and from the show. what a great lady.

How cool buyadodge! Smiley

Were you on the "sunny side" or the side with the big umbrella?

I got a few pictures of people getting autographs... Smiley Maybe you are one of the people in those pictures?  I'm waiting for my laptop to get repaired so that I can post my pictures... Wink

8)we were on the stage right side, there was only one table w/ an umbrella. after the show we sat on the other side and visited with friends and family. my son video taped almost the whole show. it didn't turn out to bad. most of it was from side stage with the usual people walking or standing in front of the camera. i wish the romantics would put out a live concert dvd. it would be great to be able to watch when they don't play around here often enough.

LOL I'm sure I was one of the "usual people" walking in front of your camera-- just bop me on the head next time... LOL

I was standing on the seat next to the umbrella at one point! (wearing a hot pink t-shirt)
