Welcome lawboy to the Romantics world!!
my favorite song on this album  is On A Night Like This.

not sure where you can find the guitar tabs.
as a new Romantics fan, I hope you were able to get some of their later stuff up to and including 61/49!!

"STONE PONY"!!

"Tomboy" is also a great rocker.  And I love "21 and Over", the Romantics only venture into the ska sound.  This is one of my favorite Romantics LP's...I've been looking to upgrade to cd but the few I can find are really pricey.

I agree--I only have this on vinyl and tape (a rather well-used tape at that!)  Too bad they do not carry their earlier CDs on the website!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

that's a thought....

I have always liked "Take Me Out Of The Rain."  I think it's an underappreciated "pop" song.  It sort of reminded me of The Hollies.

"21 and Over" and "A Night Like This" are my favorites, but I LOVE this whole album.  Sadly, for me, I only have it on vinyl. Cry

I have this on vinyl, too, Iris.  On a Night Like This is my all time favorite...very sexy, indeed, mymeka!

Iris, GET ONE!  They are pretty cheap, and you will have a blast listening to your old vinyl (if you didn't dump it).

Vinyl rules! If you get something, do it right. Get a turntable that is upper line and get a real good cartridge. It makes a difference if your vinyl is in good shape.

LOL-- no, I didn't dump my old vinyl, in fact I recently (last year) bought some additional Romantics Vinyl at a local used record shop... Smiley

I have YET to listen to any of them...

Oldfriend-- any suggestions on where to get a decent record player for a reasonable price?  I really don't want to break the bank on a record player....

If you want to make sure that you get some quality equipment, go to Pecars on Rochester road between 16 and 17 mile. They have great equipment and a knowledgeable staff. You can get there by going north on I-75 to the Rochester Road exit (next exit after Oakland Mall). Turn right and go about a half mile. It is on the right.
