Episode 139:
LOUIE LOUIE LOUIE
(Updated Repeat)
- Weekend of November 28, 2004

Do you get the feeling that songwriting is a lost art?
That most records these days sound like they were
written by computers?
Precise, calculated, no soul, no emotion.
Boring. Boring. Boring!

Well, come to the Underground Garage this week.
We are celebrating the greatest rock 'n' roll record
of all time and coolest book.

That's right.
"Louie, Louie" baby!

It's a frat rock party with the Kingsmen, the Kinks, the Premiers,
Swingin' Medallions, the Rascals, new music from the Rainy Day Saints,
Sahara Hotnights, High School Sweethearts, Reigning Sound,
the Priests, the C ocktail Slippers.

Find out what Joan Jett, Dave Clark, Gary U.S. Bonds,
and Mitch Ryder have in common.

Find out why the record was investigated by the F.B.I.

Find out why J. Edgar Hoover wore a dress.

Find out how dirty those lyrics really were.

It's "Louie, Louie," baby; this week in the Underground Garage.
