"Let's Go To Work!"

No plans for me except hanging out with my daughter.
Working 12+ hours this past week has left me little time
to even see the kid...so it's riding bikes, guitar lessons, swimming (?)
and HOPEFULLY enjoying MAYBE some sunshine?
Plus catching up on all the side jobs that have fallen by the wayside
due to my wacky schedule and Mother Nature's foul mood.
Have a SAFE Holiday Weekend Kids!

Don't these kids know rest?
Now looks like it'll be sleepover time here tonight.
Argh.
Not even out of school 24 hours and already...
(I guess(?) it beats working 12 hours, but then again...)

The problems of "cool Dad" syndrome.
Bikes, Ice Cream, Guitar Jams and UNO.
Actually it was kind of fun.

hey boris!  who was the UNO winner?

i went to see The Day After Tomorrow;
the mostly fictional account on the effects global warming will have on the earth.
once i got used to the horrible acting of dennis quaid, i found the movie entertaining.

btw, last one out, please turn out the lights!
read the following:

National Geographic News spoke with Tom Prugh—senior editor at the Worldwatch Institute in Washington, D.C., and an expert on climate change

So what can people do about this problem?

They can do a great deal. If millions of people turn off the lights when they leave the room, it makes an enormous difference on how much carbon winds up in the air. Most people believe their electricity comes from renewable or nuclear power or hydroelectric power, but more than half of the electricity generated in the United States comes from coal.
When you leave the light on all night long, that one act is directly responsible for putting a couple of more pounds of carbon into the atmosphere.

Hey you start playing these kids for Quarters and they never let up.
I won a few, but seeing as it was my cash outlay...I guess I lost.
Guilty as charged.
Usually, lights, TV, VCR, DVD player etc. when I konk out each night.
Perhaps if I went to bed EARLIER instead of setlling down on the couch at 4am I might be able to help out.
Oops!

My Dad started me betting on baseball when I was a kid.  We bet on the All Star game every year.  He is AL (huge Yankee fan from day one) and me, NL.  (hmm, no wonder I liked Pete Rose)

granted it was for shakes at the corner ice cream place, but a bet non the less.

Now Grandpa started me with pennies on poker as a kid!

See I knew it!
Cool Dads explained!
Proud to be a part of such an elite group.
You have to have a good time with them,
they grow up too fast and life is too precious and short.

"Rebel Without A Clue."
Coming to Chitown huh?
Now THERE'S a clue!
Thanks for the advance warning.
I'll have to call up some of the "crew"
and have the "Welcome Wagon" ready for you!
Seriously, hit Navy Pier and the lakefront.
Absolutely Beautiful.
