Be there, or be square. They will maybe play @ 9 PM I think. Anybody got a set list?

I'll be there.  :)
Please support all the local talent. Eddie Leighton comes on first at 7:30. They are a very very good band. Eddie told me on his facebook page that they will be playing "Water On The Road". One of my favorites that I never got to hear live.

Oh, I hope they play Stone Pony!  How fun!

I'll be there with my friend (the other Lynn).  Would be nice to see some of my old Romantics friends!

My pics didn't come out too great because we were quite aways back.  My friend and I had so much fun, and danced to every single song.  The guys sounded great and all seemed to have so much energy in that heat/humidity!  Seemed like a big, fun, happy crowd, at least from my perspective.
I was so happy they played Stone Pony, and I always love A Night Like This.

Wish I got to see them play more than once a year!  Thanks, guys for a fun evening.
Lynn

My review. For what it's worth.
We got there early and had front row center, behind the VIP section. Let me come right out and say it... deep breath...The Eddie Leighton Project Stole the show. They were on fire. Charlie Martin (Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band) Wow what an inspiration. See over 10 minutes of video below. I hope I did the link right.

Don't get me wrong The Romantics were fun and played well but oh so predictable. Nothing new. 61 49 came out 8 years ago. How about some new material? Oh and the cops kept making us sit down WTF is up with that?

Hmmm..... I have to totally disagree there!  I think this was the best show that I have ever seen from The Romantics!  Vocals were dead on perfect the whole night!  They rocked!  I also heard a few songs that I have not heard in a long time!  One I actually have never heard live.  Friday At The Hideout.
Just my opinion, but I thought they rocked!  LMK, you were there, what did you think???

My friend and I had a blast at the riverfront show.  We danced to every song in the set.  I thought they sounded great.  Brad was fun to watch as always...I thought all the guys looked/sounded great.  No complaints here!

Wally was just at Ceasar's in Windsor with Ringo Starr.  Great venue!  The Romantics should play there!  Maybe someone should put it in their suggestion box in Canada! ;)

I stand corrected on Friday At The Hideout.  I also agree with you on the great vocals and they Rocked!  The performance was very impressive but... I stand by my original post. On that night Eddie Leighton stole the show. On that night the "Warm up Band" was better than the Romantics.

Title: Let's hear it for the Detroit Lions!!! ( the playoffs finally ?! )
Post by johnnyglitter on Sep 8th, 2010 at 8:17am
I took 10 bucks ( the cost of an overpriced Margarita in Vegas ) and threw it on the Lions to win the Super Bowl this year - got 100 to 1 odds!!!  Rumor has it that two other rockers we know and love also got the same bet while they were in the Glitter City recently :)  Come on all you Detroiters- root for your team; they need all the help they can get!!!
